# Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Bruce, the intro system of record for licensed professionals.

## Getting Started
### What is Bruce?
Bruce is the intro system of record for licensed professionals. Every intro you give and receive is logged, verified, and turned into permanent reputation equity. Your track record becomes visible to your network, Google, and AI search.

### Who is Bruce for?
Bruce is built for licensed professionals in 4 categories: Real Estate, Mortgage, Title & Escrow, and Insurance. These are the professionals involved in real estate transactions where trust drives every deal.

### How do I join?
By invitation from an existing member, or by applying directly. All professionals must hold an active license in one of the 7 categories. Your license is verified against public regulatory databases before you can access the network.

### Is Bruce free?
Bruce offers a free tier with core features including intro logging, a public profile, and limited partner slots per category. Pro plans unlock more slots, broader matching, and advanced features. Founding members who join during early access lock in the lowest pricing we will ever offer.

### How are profiles created?
Through voice conversations with Bruce. Instead of filling out static forms, you talk to Bruce about your practice, your specialties, and what makes you different. Your profile stays current because it is updated through real conversations, not a form you filled out once and forgot about.

## Intros & Track Record
### How do I log an intro?
When a partner sends you a deal that closes, you log the transaction value and who sent it. If they are already on Bruce, it takes about 17 seconds. If they are not on Bruce yet, you can invite them and log the intro at the same time. No client names are shared.

### What happens when I log an intro for someone not on Bruce?
You can invite them using one of your invite slots. They receive a notification that you credited them with an intro, and the intro is logged on their profile the moment they join. It is a reputation gift that gives them a reason to sign up.

### What are invite slots?
Invite slots control how many professionals you can invite per category. Free members get 3 slots per category. Pro plans unlock more. This keeps the network high-quality by encouraging thoughtful invitations rather than mass invites.

### What are leaderboards?
Leaderboards rank professionals on a 90-day rolling window across categories like dollar impact, intro count, and industry rank. Rankings are based entirely on verified intro data with anti-gaming guardrails. Your plan does not affect your rank.

### How does matching work?
Bruce listens across conversations and identifies professionals who would be strong intro partners based on your category, location, specialties, and track record. Free members are matched locally. Pro plans unlock statewide and nationwide matching.

## Privacy & Trust
### Can I control how my intro dollar amounts are shown?
Yes. Two privacy modes: Exact shows exact amounts and Protected shows the nearest milestone like "$1M+". You choose when logging each intro.

### Who can see my profile?
Your profile is visible within the Bruce network and optimized for Google and AI search. This means other professionals and potential clients can find you based on your verified track record rather than paid ads.

### What licenses are verified?
NMLS for mortgage, NIPR NPN for insurance, DRE for real estate, and state-specific title licenses depending on your state. Verification happens against public regulatory databases.

### Is my data safe?
Bruce uses encryption and never sells, rents, or licenses your data. We comply with CCPA/CPRA. No client names or deal details are ever stored. Only the intro amount and the professional relationship are recorded.

## Plans & Features
### What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free gives you 3 partner slots per category, local matching, and a public profile with intro logging. Pro unlocks more slots, broader geographic matching, and advanced features. Pro Max adds AI coaching and nationwide matching. Enterprise is for firms and teams.

### What is the Platinum Badge?
The Platinum badge appears on your public Bruce profile, signaling to intro partners that you are a committed, verified professional. It is available on Pro Max and Enterprise plans and gives you enhanced visibility in matching and search.

### Can I downgrade my plan?
Yes. Downgrading moves extra partners to your archived list. No data is lost. You can restore them anytime by upgrading again.

### Can a brokerage or firm buy Bruce for their team?
Yes. Enterprise is designed for exactly this. A managing broker, branch manager, or firm partner purchases seats for their agents or advisors. The firm gets aggregate reporting and compliance tools while each professional keeps their own profile and reputation.
